FDP and union had to settle for 38 percent. In a survey by the GMS institute, the SPD and the greens are just ahead with 41 percent. CDU/CSU and FDP together at 40 percent.
Compared to the beginning of june, the SPD (31 percent) and the greens (14 percent) each gained one percentage point in the ARD "deutschlandtrend" poll. The FDP, on the other hand, loses one point and, with 4 percent, will no longer be represented in the bundestag. The union remains unchanged at 34 percent.
The pirate party received 8 percent of the votes – a drop of one percentage point compared to the previous survey. The left improved from 5 to 6 percent.
In the GMS poll published on friday, both the social democrats (28 percent) and the union (34 percent) gain one percentage point compared to the may survey. The greens and the FDP remain at 13 and 6 percent respectively.
The survey found the pirate party to be the fourth strongest party (10 percent), although it lost 2 percentage points. The left achieves its worst result since may 2005 in the GMS poll with 5 percent.
